Kacey has been a psychotherapist for 25+ years, with a wide range of experience providing therapy services for individuals of all ages, families, couples, and other systems such as businesses, schools. Early in her career, Kacey was the Social Services Director of an Intermediate Level Nursing Home, where she gained geriatric experience, counseled patients and families, as well as had an administrative role. As a therapeutic program developer and member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team, she worked as the primary therapist for adult units, both voluntary and involuntary, in a private, non-profit psychiatric hospital. She has worked in community mental health, psychiatric hospitals, school consultations, and private practice settings. She has also supervised interns, as well as taught university classes such as Human Sexuality and worked for university counseling centers. She has provided parenting training and coaching, as well as educational programs. Kacey is originally from NE Tennessee, where she was the administrative partner for a large psychiatric and counseling private practice center. In 2000, she moved to the Atlanta metro area, where she has participated in many community organizations and volunteered for several non-profit organizations, as well as board positions.
