About Mathews

Background:

Scott is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia. He earned an M.S. in Professional Counseling in 1998 from Georgia State University. As a member of the International OCD Foundation, Scott specializes primarily in the treatment of OCD and related disorders, using Exposure and Response Prevention and other cognitive-behavioral modalities. He also has extensive experience treating other conditions, including mood and anxiety disorders, psychological management of issues related to chronic illness, various relationship issues, and grief, among others.

Biography:

Scott has worked in various clinical outpatient settings throughout his career, both governmental (Dekalb Community Service Board) and private, but his first love remains private outpatient counseling and psychotherapy. He works solely with adults.
